Kamala Allen is responsible for managing more than $1 million in annual federal and philanthropic grant-funded programs. She is the Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) for a multi-state collaborative project funded through the CHIPRA Quality Demonstration Grant program as well as a quality improvement collaborative on improving appropriate psychotropic medication use for Medicaid-enrolled children involved in foster care. Ms. Allen has expertise in contract and program management, program operations, and logistical and administrative support services; child and mental health policy, child health quality, the use of managed care in public child-serving systems (e.g., child welfare, Medicaid, CHIP and mental health), psychotropic medication use for children in Medicaid, children in foster care, EPSDT, and Medicaid health homes; and, provision of technical assistance to state Medicaid agencies, Medicaid managed care organizations, community organizations, health care professionals, including a focus on cross-agency, multidisciplinary collaborative learning approaches and use of a Medicaid-tailored continuous quality improvement framework. |
