Bio: Holly Echo-Hawk is trained in organizational behavior and is a subject matter expert in the development and administration of behavioral health services for Native youth and families. In these capacities, she has overseen services that included clinical treatment services, therapeutic group care, and substance abuse treatment. She has extensive behavioral health accreditation and policy experience. With both rural and urban experiences, Ms. Echo-Hawk brings rare insight into the disparities of behavioral health access for tribal families and the challenges of creating and implementing new systems of care in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. She is an author of tribal best practices and cultural competence, and was at the forefront of the national movement to promote Practice-Based Evidence. She now works with the SAMHSA National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP) to help develop a tribal PBE component within NREPP. Ms. Echo-Hawk is an enrolled member of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma and currently lives in the San Diego area.
