Bio: Kevin Strubler is a Senior Research Analyst with The Institute for Innovation and Implementation at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. In this role, he provides data management and analysis for three primary projects—1) a strategic initiative to end homelessness in Maryland; 2) continuous quality improvement of the implementation of evidence-based practices by child-serving agencies in the state; and 3) the Thrive@25 initiative to prevent and end homelessness among youth with child welfare involvement. Additionally, he has previously contributed to multiple juvenile justice initiatives launched by the MD Department of Juvenile Services. He gained his expertise in research methods for the social sciences while obtaining a Master’s degree in Experimental Psychology at Towson University. His work in applied research continued by completing all coursework in a doctoral program in Legal Psychology at Florida International University while serving as research manager for the Jury Decision-Making Laboratory. Mr. Strubler then gained additional data management skills by obtaining an Executive Certificate in Institutional Research at Baruch College, City University of New York while working as an Institutional Research Specialist at the College of Staten Island, CUNY. Having always worked in applied research for social justice, Mr. Strubler brings his unique combination of skills in statistics, research methods, and data management to the Research and Evaluation team at The Institute.
